One-Pot Turkey Tomato Orzo

Ingredients
1 tbsp canola oil
1 small onion, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 bell pepper, diced
1 lb. ground turkey
1 jar (approx. 650ml) tomato sauce
1 large can (796 ml) diced tomatoes
1 tbsp each dried basil and oregano
1 tsp crushed fennel seeds
½ tsp each salt and pepper
1 ¼ cup orzo
½ cup parmesan or asiago cheese
Method
In a large pot, on medium heat cook onion, garlic and peppers in canola oil until onion is translucent.
Add the ground turkey to the pot and cook until no pink is left. Break up into small pieces.
Stir in tomato sauce, canned tomatoes, basil, oregano, fennel, salt and pepper and bring to a simmer.
Turn heat to medium low and stir in orzo. Cover and let simmer until orzo is cooked through (approximately 8-10 minutes).
